High-Speed Train Connecting Liuzhou to Beijing

Running from Beijing, high-speed train G529 will extend its destination to Liuzhou on July 1st, according to the official micro blog of the Liuzhou Municipal Party Committee Propaganda Department of the CPC on June 9th.

As the first HSR (high-speed rail) line opened in ethnic autonomous regions, the Beijing-Guilin high-speed railway was launched last year on December 28, with major stops at Shi Jiazhuang, Zhengzhou, Wuhan, Changsha, and Yueyang.

Thanks to the progress made in the Nanning Railway Pivotal Project, Liuzhou can connect with the capital city directly within 12 hours with G529 reaching a top speed of 300 kph. The faster the journey time, the stronger the economic connection that can be made between the cities.
