Liuzhou City Hosted Off-Road Racing Event on May 14

The Chinese Circuit Off-road Championship (COC)kicked off on May 14 at Liuzhou Motor City, in the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, and preparations were completed by May 8.

At a meeting on May 8, 15 officials from related units including Liuzhou’s public security bureau, commerce committee, and sports bureau, reported on their prep work for the event, and discussed issues to be improved, such as contact information, parking lots for racing vehicles, cordon areas, and emergency measures.

Du Wei, Party secretary of Liudong New District, said that hosting the event is a golden chance for Liuzhou to advertise its motor city, and he urged all units to work responsibly to keep the event running safely and smoothly.

Co-hosted by the Motor Sports Administration Center of the General Administration of Sports of China, Liuzhou’s sports bureau, and Liudong New District’s management committee, the competition has the most complex course and highest accident rate. Liuzhou, as the opening position, will embrace more than 30 teams of 100 racers and present the fans with a feast of “The Fast and the Furious”.
